Raphael Onyedika, Francisca Ordega and Asisat Oshoala also delivered standout moments across Europe and the Middle East.

Osimhen’s comeback gathered more momentum as the striker scored twice in Galatasaray’s 3–2 win over Samsunspor.

The Super Eagles forward struck his team’s second goal before sealing the victory with a late bicycle kick, taking his tally to 11 goals in 14 matches this season.

It was his first strike since returning from the injury picked up during Nigeria’s World Cup playoff, and his sharp display showed he is ready for AFCON 2025.

Osimhen completed the full match and helped Galatasaray stay top of the Turkish Süper Lig ahead of their Champions League fixture.

Onyedika scores in Brugge heartbreak

In Belgium, Raphael Onyedika opened the scoring for Club Brugge with his first league goal of the season. His 16th-minute finish gave Brugge a strong start against Sint-Truidense.

Despite that early lead, Brugge conceded twice before halftime. Teenage striker Kaye Furo came off the bench and scored his first senior goal six minutes after coming on to level the match. Brugge later lost 3–2 after conceding an 81st-minute strike.

Nigerian contingent in Turkey show mixed fortunes

Paul Onuachu had a quiet outing as Trabzonspor battled to a 2–1 win over Göztepe.

Anthony Dennis, his Nigerian counterpart on the opposing side, scored his third goal of the campaign late in the match and ended an 11-game drought, but Göztepe still fell short.

Trabzonspor took all three points thanks to an Ernest Muci brace, while late red cards added tension.

Onuachu remains the league’s top scorer with 11 goals despite his subdued performance.

Lookman, Orban and Dele-Bashiru in Italy

In Serie A, Ademola Lookman played the full 90 minutes in Atalanta’s 3–1 defeat to Hellas Verona, while Gift Orban stayed on the bench.

Lookman continues to see regular action as transfer rumours build ahead of January. His focus now shifts to the Super Eagles’ push for another AFCON crown.

Meanwhile, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru made a strong impact after coming off the bench in Lazio’s 1–1 draw with Bologna. The midfielder replaced Danilo Cataldi and added stability, but both sides settled for a point.

Simon impresses again in Ligue 1

Super Eagles winger Moses Simon featured in Paris FC’s 0–0 draw with Le Havre. He produced another energetic performance before being substituted in the 66th minute.

Paris FC missed a chance to win when Soumaré failed to convert a late penalty. The draw leaves both teams in the lower mid-table.

Fulham’s Nigerian core in tough Premier League loss

Four Super Eagles players—Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, Calvin Bassey and Christantus Uche—were involved as Fulham fell 2–1 to Crystal Palace.

Eddie Nketiah put Fulham ahead, but Palace equalised before halftime. With minutes to go, Marc Guehi scored from a Yeremy Pino corner to seal the win. Fulham remain dangerously close to the relegation zone.

Super Falcons: Oshoala and Ordega deliver strong weekend

Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala continued her brilliant form for Al Hilal, scoring the opener in a 2–0 win over Eastern Flames.

She now has six league goals and eight contributions in seven games.

Her 43rd-minute strike set the pace before Al Bandari Mobarak added the second. The win keeps Al Hilal second with 15 points.

Over at Al Ittihad, Francisca Ordega ended her goal drought with a timely opener in their 2–0 win over Neom SC.

Given her first start of the season, she delivered instantly—scoring, creating the most chances and displaying the spark that earned her nine goal contributions last season.

The victory lifts Al Ittihad to third place and signals a welcome resurgence for the Super Falcons forward.

Payne guides Everton to historic win

Toni Payne supplied a precise early assist as Everton stunned Chelsea 1–0 in the Women’s Super League.
