After 32 minutes of action at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, the Nigerian forward showed off his aerial abilities once more, heading in inside the left post.

The attacker linked up wonderfully with Giovanni Di Lorenzo’s stunning drive into the box for Napoli’s opener.

Osimhen had previously tormented the Genoa defenders with his quickness and strength, but he squandered some chances before converting with a free header after being left unmarked in the area.

After the interval, Napoli increased their pressure and had a chance to extend their lead after a handball in the Genoa territory, but Lorenzo Insigne’s penalty kick missed the post.

However, he later made up after the referee discovered an infringement during the penalty, allowing Insigne a retake.

With the second chance, Insigne made no mistake, slotting the ball past Genoa goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu’s extended arm.

Stanislav Lobotka made it 3-0 for Napoli after slipping past his opponents and unleashing a beautiful effort from the edge of the box into the bottom left corner.

Osimhen was subdued in the second half but managed to grab three shots and winning two aerial duels.

The Super Eagles attacker has 18 goals in all competitions in his second season at Napoli, but injury has prevented him from scoring more as Luciano Spalletti’s men maintain third position in Serie A.
