Although Osimhen failed to score in his first three games with Galatasaray, the Super Eagles striker has since registered eight goals and assists in seven appearances for the Yellow-Reds.
Batuhan Karadeniz, a former Turkish striker, has praised Victor Osimhen’s influence at Galatasaray following the Super Eagles striker’s season-long loan move to the Turkish Super Lig giants during the summer transfer window.
Although Osimhen failed to score in his first three games with Galatasaray, the Super Eagles striker has since registered four goals and four assists in seven appearances across the Super Lig and UEFA Europa League for the Yellow-Reds.
Commenting on Osimhen’s performances, Karadeniz said, “Victor Osimhen, since the day he arrived, gives everything on the pitch whenever he scores a goal. He never hesitates in his movements, whether stepping left or right.
“So many big world stars come to a league like ours, and I get tired just watching them. But this is what you call a football player—he gives full value for the money he earns.”
The 33-year-old also expressed his amazement at Osimhen’s relentless energy, jokingly suggesting that the Nigerian striker’s presence creates unfair competition.
“They hired a guy named Victor Osimhen. This is cheating! Osimhen should be banned from the Super Lig—it’s unfair competition,’’ Karadeniz said.
“He defends corners in his own penalty area, then shows up in the opponent’s box to threaten a goal. He drops into midfield, starts the counter-attack, and still ends up in a scoring position.
“What kind of player is this? I’ve never seen anything like it! Send him back to where he came from—Osimhen has become a scourge to the Super Lig!”
Osimhen will be back in action on Thursday, November 7, when Galatasaray hosts Tottenham Hotspur in the UEL Round 4 clash at Rams Park, Istanbul.
