Sadiq Umar withdraws from the AFCON due to injury

Sadiq Umar of Real Sociedad has also withdrawn from the 2023 AFCON, dealing another late injury blow to the Super Eagles’ chances.

Sadiq sustained a knee injury and will be out of action for at least three weeks.

Officials stated he will now return to Spain to be treated by his club’s specialists.
