Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu turned on the style on Friday evening, scoring and assisting as Trabzonspor thrashed Kayserispor 4-0 in their Turkish Super Lig clash at Papara Park.
The Nigerian forward, who joined from Southampton, now has six goals in eight league matches, extending his scoring contribution to three consecutive games as Trabzonspor continue to push for the title.
Onuachu’s early impact sets the tone
Trabzonspor made a lively start, breaking the deadlock in the 12th minute thanks to Onuachu’s sharp link-up play.
The 31-year-old striker combined brilliantly with Okay Yokuşlu, whose long-range strike sneaked past the Kayserispor goalkeeper.
Onuachu’s clever movement and aggressive presence in the box saw him unleash seven shots, one of which rattled the woodwork, showing just how much of a threat he was throughout the evening.
Penalty seals MOTM display for the Super Eagles star
Trabzonspor’s momentum carried into the second half as Felipe Augusto doubled the lead in the 53rd minute before Oleksandr Zubkov made it 3-0 just three minutes later.

Paul Onuachu, determined to crown his performance, finally got on the scoresheet in stoppage time.
The Nigerian forward stepped up in the 95th minute and coolly converted a penalty to cap off a commanding Man of the Match display for the Black Sea Storm.
The victory stretched Trabzonspor’s unbeaten run to three games, with two straight wins and a draw.
They have now climbed to second place in the Super Lig table with 17 points from eight games, having won five, drawn two, and lost just one.
Onuachu’s resurgence in Turkey after a difficult stint in England has been central to this run.
His consistent form gives Trabzonspor momentum as they prepare to face Rizespor in their next league outing on Saturday.
