It’s no longer news that Adidas and New Balance collaborated to create an incredible special boots for Salah and Mane to wear during their African Cup of Nations campaigns.

Salah’s new boot features a lot of brilliant gold, but the Liverpool star man was a ghost of himself against the Eagles, failing to shine like the gold on his boot.

The Super Eagles kicked up their AFCON 2021 campaign with a 1-0 victory over Egypt in Garoua on Tuesday.

It was the Eagles’ first AFCON victory over Egypt since the Algiers edition in 1990.

The Super Eagles’ deserved victory was completed by Kelechi Iheanacho’s superb first-half volley.

Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool attacker, was a ‘passenger’ throughout the match as he was shut down by the Eagles defense.

Looking at the boot’s soul, it varies in color from gold to white. The letters ‘MO’ can be spotted on the rear of the left shoe, while the silhouette of a crown could be seen on the right.

With his spectacular new boots, the forward hoped to light up the tournament, but he fell short against the Augustine Eguavoen-led team.

On Saturday, Mo Salah and Egypt will face Guinea-Bissau in a bid to win their first three points at the Afcon 2021.
