Nigeria’s super eagles first choice goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye has bagged his first professional award after a blistering 2020/21 season for Eredivisie side Sparta Rotterdam.
Okoye was few hours ago announced as the club’s player of the season on their official website and social media handles.
Maduka played 28 games conceding 35 goals and keeping an impressive 10 clean sheets last season.
He is the first super eagles hot shot stopper in recent times to be named the player of the season by a football club.
It is noteworthy that Maduka Okoye joined the likes of Paul Ebere Onuachu who was also named Genk and Belgian League player of the season last month.
