Ibrahim Sunusi bagged his first career hat-trick to lead CF Montreal to a comfortable quarter-finals victory over Forge in the Canadian Championship on Thursday.
Forge FC were humbled and once again eliminated by CF Montréal, but this time in a decisive 3-0 manner at Stade Saputo, with the Nigerian forward making a huge difference.
With just over a minute into the match, the Nigerian was already behind the Forge backline and forcing a big stop out of Henry.
Ibrahim Sunusi continued to mount pressure on Forge defense line and opened the scoring for the defending champions just 14 minutes into the match.
8 minutes later, the big forward powered a low header from a free kick into the back of the net to double the lead for CF Montreal
Four minutes into second half, the 19-year-old rewarded the Wilfred Nancy side with a simple tap-in and a hat-trick to put the game beyond reach for Forge FC.
In 61 minutes of game play, Sunusi Ibrahim was almost unlucky to not get more than just a hat-trick.
The younster had over five shots in the contest, four of which were on target, as he kept on causing issues for the Forge backline.

Sunusi was top scorer with Nassarawa United (10 goals) in the 2018-2019 season.
Montréal progress to the next round of the Canadian Championship, where they will face Toronto FC in the semi-finals, while Forge will be left wondering why they managed to lose the most important game of the season.
CF Montreal will be facing Cincinnati tomorrow in their Canadian Premier League home game.
