From Goalkeeper to Rising Star: Moshood Morufdeen Joins Leixões SC

Liga Portugal 2 team, Leixões Sport Club, has completed the signing of Nigerian player Moshood Morufdeen on a permanent three-year contract.

This exciting addition comes after an agreement was reached between the Portuguese club and Remo Stars Football Club.

A mere three years ago, Morufdeen embarked on his promising career as a goalkeeper at Remo Stars Academy Beyond Limits.

However, his extraordinary skills caught the attention of his Academy Coach, Olumide, who saw his potential as a striker and took the bold step of converting him during his debut TCC season.

Quickly adapting to his new role, the young Nigerian displayed immense talent, impressively scoring five goals.

This marked the beginning of his remarkable transformation, where Morufdeen’s impact extended beyond his goal-scoring abilities.

In his second season in The Creative Championship (TCC), Morufdeen emerged as the Golden Boot winner, showcasing his exceptional contributions to the team with an impressive tally of 14 goals.

Last season, during his loan spell in Portugal, he continued to leave a lasting impression, netting an outstanding 15 goals in 20 appearances for Leixões SC.

Right from the start, Morufdeen’s goal-scoring prowess was evident, as he delivered a series of exceptional performances that included three consecutive hat-tricks for the B team, resulting in a total of 20 goals in just 15 games.

The signing of Moshood Morufdeen by Leixões Sport Club promises to inject an electrifying boost to the team’s attacking prowess.
