Nigerian international Valentine Ozornwafor has finally signed with FC Sochaux-Montbéliard of France’s Ligue 2 after passing his medical test.
With a buyout option, Ozornwafor signed a season-long loan deal with the French team from Royal Charleroi Sporting Club.
The former Enyimba defender had a short time to prove himself at Turkish club Galatasaray before they decided to loan him to Almeria in Spain before giving him a permanent contract with Sporting Charleroi.
After the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup, he joined Galatasaray, and soon after, he was loaned to Almeria in LaLiga 2.

Ozornwafor played a total of 1,399 minutes while on loan from Galatasaray to Sporting Charleroi last season. He started 16 of the 17 league games he played in.
The footballer was purchased by Sporting Charleroi when the 2021–2022 season came to a close.
The 23-year-old is the fourth Nigerian to play for the two-time Ligue 1 winners, joining players like Wilson Oruma, Brown Ideye, and Rabiu Afolabi.
Valentine Ozornwafor, who made his debut for Nigeria in 2021, in the Super Eagles’ 1-0 friendly loss to Cameroon, hopes to guide his new team to promotion to the French Ligue 1.
The French outfit wrote on their official website;
“Valentine Ozornwafor, a 23-year-old left-handed central defender, joined the FCSM after passing the usual medical examination. The Nigeria International is on loan [with an option to buy] from the Royal Charleroi Sporting Club.”
