Nils Petersen, a former Bayern Munich forward, has expressed his admiration for Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface.
Petersen, the only German player to score five goals in a single match for Die Mannschaft, described Boniface as an exceptional striker that opponents would be wary of facing in a discussion with fussball.news.
“I have to say that I am a fan of Victor Boniface. As an opponent, you just don’t want to play against him,” the 35-year-old said.
Boniface’s accolades continue to accumulate following his impressive first season at Bayer Leverkusen, where he registered double-digit goals and assists—21 goals and 10 assists in 34 appearances—helping the club secure a historic domestic double.
Petersen further emphasised Boniface’s capabilities as an all-round striker firing on all cylinders. “He hurts, he’s fast, he can go one-on-one, and he can score goals. He has everything,” said the highest goalscorer of the Rio 2016 Olympics.
This season, Boniface has maintained his impressive form for Leverkusen, recording six goals and one assist in nine appearances across all competitions.
