Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent has revealed the striker will retire at Juventus.
The Portuguese superstar completed a £99million switch to the Serie A side earlier this week after nine years with the Spanish giants.
Agent Jorge Mendes has confirmed that the 33-year-old will see out his career in Turin after the four-year deal was agreed.
Speaking to Football Italia, Mendes said: “I’m very happy for Cristiano.
“Juventus will be his last club club and I’m glad he made this decision.
“With this team he’ll close out his marvellous career.
“I thank [President] Andrea Agnelli in particular for his determination and his willingness to negotiate with Real Madrid .
“I also thank [general manager] Beppe Marotta for his professionalism.”
Mendes ended his 11-year feud with the Italian club before the mega-money switch was completed.
Ronaldo revealed why he quit the La Liga side in an open letter to the fans.
And several of football’s biggest names paid tribute to the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who scored 451 goals in 438 matches for Madrid.
But not everyone is happy about the move, which has led to Fiat workers going on strike for two days because the car manufacturer will contribute towards his £500k-a-week wages.
