The president of Sierra Leone’s football Association (SLFA), Isha Johansen has been released from police custody after meeting bail conditions.
The FA vice president and Secretary General remain in detention at the Criminal investigation headquarters in Freetown.
The three officials were picked up on Wednesday over corruption allegations, based on discrepancies in the Association’s financial management.
Aged 51, Johansen who is the only female football president in Africa was elected in August 2013 however, She was arrested a day after she returned from an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match in Ivory Coast.
Sierra Leone’s anti corruption commission says the officials had disregarded all formal invitations to report to the headquarters.
The arrested officials have denied any involvement in bribery and corruption and have described their arrest as political interference in football governance.
