Jetro Willems opened the scoring for the visitors in the seventh with the help of Marco van Ginkel’s assist to put his side a goal to the good at the halftime break.
Davy Propper then doubled their lead in the 51st minute before Jurgen Locadia wrapped up the win with his strike in the 88th minute.
FC Utrecht got off to an early start in their 3-0 victory over Heerenveen at Abe Lenstra Stadion when Andreas Ludwig opened the scoring in the sixth minute.
The visitors then wrapped up the win in the 75th and 78th minutes when striker Ruud Boymans struck a two goal within three minutes before Christiaan Kum wrapped up the win in the 86th minute.
