Sam Allardyce blasts ‘insulting’ reporter

Sam Allardyce
West Ham boss Sam Allardyce had a go at a reporter for asking an ‘insulting’ question at his pre-match press conference yesterday.

The Hammers have enjoyed an enjoyable start to the campaign, spending three weeks in the top four after a run of four straight Premier League victories that included home wins over Liverpool and Man City.

But having now gone three games without a win (two draws and a loss) a reporter suggest Allardyce’s side are suffering a dip in form and asked the Hammers boss what he thought was the reason behind it.

But Allardyce blasted that it wasn’t a dip in form and more of a dip in results, telling the reporter to be ‘cleverer next time’ and to ‘do your homework.’

Allardyce has a point, because the Hammers will feel unlucky not to have got results in each of their last three games. But it was perhaps a little harsh to have a pop at the poor reporter who was just doing his job…
