Sharks FC midfielder Ibrahim Salawu has promised more goals after opening his account for his new side in the 2-0 over Bayelsa United in midweek.
The Westerlo Academy of Lagos trainee scored to double the Blue Angels’ lead, after Abraham Okereke had opened the scoring in the match.
Salawu has set his sights on adding to his tally and helping his team keep up with the front-runners in the Nigeria Premier League standings.
“I am very delighted playing from Sharks FC,” the midfielder told the club’s website. “Twice I have had to play a role in our last two games.
“I want to assure fans of the team that it will not be a one-off goal account,” he vowed, ahead of their tricky trip away to Lobi Stars in Katsina Ala for their next league clash.
He added: “They said Sharks has not picked a point on the road against Lobi stars in recent times, that I believe is going to change for the better this time around and I hope to make my presence count if I get the chance to play.”
