Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini has admitted he could offer Mohamed Salah a way out of Chelsea with the Egyptian struggling for game time. Furthermore, it is reported that Chelsea are willing to allow the player to leave on loan.
The 22 year-old is currently working with Jose Mourinho but despite Capital One Cup appearances, has struggled to make any impact since arriving from FC Basel last winter.
Salah is a pacey winger and his trickery is what caught the eye of Mourinho last season when the sides met in the Champions League. Salah was the main threat for the Switzerland outfit but he hasn’t took that form into the Premier League with just two substitute cameos this campaign.
Mancini only just took charge of the club this year when Walter Mazzarri was sacked for under performing and he’s hoping he can now turn the side into Champions League hopefuls. They haven’t been in the competition the last two seasons and their decline has been a surprise to many associated with football. However, with Mancini told he has the funds to get players within a certain margin he is now looking at options.
“Within its limits, the club gave me full availability, which is nice to hear,” Mancini told sources.
“[Mohamed] Salah is a very interesting young prospect. [Ivan] Perisic is a good player, he has the right profile – but he isn’t easy to get to, either.
“Alessio Cerci is strong and an important player, and I hear he wants to return to Italy. It will take a stroke of luck.”
Salah is a target but others on the list include Ivan Perisic from Wolfsburg and Alessio Cerci from Atletico Madrid. The pair could be harder to prize away but with Inter slowly trying to climb up the period again it could be a fresh challenge for any player.
