The South Africa Premier Soccer League (PSL) has released a revised list of fixtures for the remainder of December after this week’s games were all postponed on Monday in light of memorial services and other gatherings to pay special respect to the late Nelson Mandela.
The official PSL website reports that a packed schedule will now follow the funeral of South AfricaÔÇÖs former president and world statesman on Sunday, December 15, with a full programme pencilled in for the Day of Reconciliation when the competition will resume.
There are six games scheduled for Monday, December 16, amongst the highlights being a repeat of the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout finals with Platinum Stars scheduled to host Orlando Pirates at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in one of three 15:30 kick-offs.
Two games on Wednesday, December 18, will complete the round as Moroka Swallows entertain Polokwane City in Dobsonville and Ajax Cape Town welcome Bloemfontein Celtic to the Cape Town Stadium.
Three further matchdays – December 19, 21 and 22 – will then complete the pre-Christmas programme, before the league resumes next year.
