Official: Alisson has signed for Liverpool

Liverpool have officially completed the signing of Alisson Becker from Roma, with the goalkeeper arriving for a fee of 75 million euros, making him the most expensive shot-stopper ever.

The long-standing record was held by Gianluigi Buffon, who was signed by Juventus from Parma for 43m euros in the 2001/02 season, but now the Brazilian takes top spot.

He arrives to strengthen the goalkeeping position, with Liverpool having looked to upgrade after some unconvincing showings from Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet.

Alisson is the fourth signing of the summer for the Reds, following the arrivals of Naby Keita, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri, with the Premier League side having now spent more than 200m euros.
