BS FC compounded the woes of 3SC when they forced their hosts to a 1-1 draw in a Week 29 game on Sunday.
3SC now have 37 points from 29 matches, same with ABS FC.
Veteran left back Mutiu Adegoke gave the hosts the lead with a penalty in the 17th minute after birthday boy Tony Edjomarigwe was brought down by an ABS player.
Muftau Saliu become the hero for the visitors when he scored the equaliser in the 75th minute.
This was the second time an Ilorin team will draw 3SC at home after Kwara United also played a 1-1 draw fortnight ago.
Both coaches failed to appear after the game for the post-match conference as ABS players marched out of the arena without any problems, but the angry 3SC fans were clearly disappointed with the home draw.
“We are not happy with the performance of the boys today because what is expected of them they are not showing on the field. This is our opportunity after we played two games in a row at home which would have improved our position on the table, but we misused our chances,ÔÇØ lamented one of the fans.┬á
“If we must be out of the relegation zone, the players need to start getting results in away games and give us the results we need, we are not happy with today’s result at all.”
ABS media officer Bashir Jimoh told MTNFootball.com that they were in Ibadan for the three points which they went for.
“It was an explosive match, we went to Ibadan having at the back of our minds to win, but we could not and got a draw. It was not a bad result, we take it from there,” Jimoh said.┬á
