The Nigerian Football Federation are set to add a fourth friendly international to the Super Eagles’ roster ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Stephen Keshi’s men are already scheduled to face Scotland, Greece and USA before June 7 as they gear up for this year’s South American showpiece.
NFF general secretary Musa Amadu has now revealed they could organise an additional match to maximise exposure against established international teams.
“We’re putting all measures in place to ensure that the team is properly prepared for the World Cup and that is why we have lined up friendlies up until June 7,” Amuda said.
“And if the coach accepts, we could squeeze in one more game before our first game at the World Cup.”
Looking ahead to Nigeria’s World Cup Group F opener against Iran on June 16, he added: “It is very important that the Super Eagles win their first group game against Iran.
“This would go a long way to determine how far the team would go at the World Cup.”
