Jose Mourinho is set for talks with his senior players amid reports of a fractious relationship with the likes of Luke Shaw and Paul Pogba.
With Premier League action due to resume this weekend, the Manchester United players are returning to the club after international duty.
Some players including the likes of Eric Bailly and Pogba said their goodbyes to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has joined LA Galaxy.
Attention today will switch to their clash against Swansea on Saturday where they will be looking to maintain their lead over Liverpool in the table.
But after United’s last game against Brighton, Mourinho launched a blistering attack on his players accusing them of lacking personality, class and desire.
The United boss also gave a damning assessment of Luke Shaw’s defending after hauling him off at half-time.
According to The Sun , Mourinho recently arrived back from a holiday in Portugal and he will address the players to explain himself.
A United source is quoted as saying: “The staff are expecting Jose to address the entire squad today at Carrington.
“He only returned from a mini-holiday himself recently and was over there for a few days.
“He also took in the Scotland game last Friday. Only eight players remained at the club during the international break.
“They had about five-days off. Too many players were rushing off when they were knocked out by Sevilla.
“A few are now expecting the manager to clarify some of his recent public criticisms. It should make for an interesting day.”
