Manchester United target ‘snubs new PSG deal’

Manchester United target Adrien Rabiot has declined a new contract long-term offer at Paris Saint-Germain, with his deal set to expire at the end of the season.

The midfielder, 23, is represented by his mother Veronique. And, according to l’Equipe , they have declined the latest offer from PSG to extend his stay at the club beyond this term.

It opens up the prospect of the player leaving next summer when his deal runs out, as he keeps his options open.

Or United — or any other suitor — could come in with a low-ball offer in January, when he can strike a deal with any other club.

Rabiot did not make Didier Deschamps’ squad for the World Cup, as Les Bleus went on to claim victory in Russia.

And after being placed on the stand-by list, he withdrew after being frustrated at the decision.

He played 49 times for PSG last season as they won the Ligue 1 and Coupe de France double.

And Rabiot scored in his club’s 3-0 demolition of Caen as they opened League 1 with a comfortable victory.

He was made captain by new boss Thomas Tuchel for their pre-season games in the International Champions Cup.

But Thiago Silva resumed skipper’s responsibilities for the win over Caen.
