New Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski insists he is yet to hit top form despite a blistering start to life in Bavaria.
The former Borussia Dortmund front man joined the Allianz Arena outfit on a free transfer, having already agreed a contract in January.
And he has wasted no time settling down in Munich, scoring three times in two games to help his new side with the Telekom Cup, a four-team pre-season tournament involving Hamburg, Borussia Monchengladbah and Wolfsburg, who Bayern beat 3-0 in the final.
But the Poland international has warned that he is still far from his best, and fans can look forward from even better performances from the 25-year-old.
“I know that I haven’t hit top form yet,” Lewandowski told reporters after the lifting the trophy on Sunday.
“I scored two goals, but I know that not everything is perfect yet. We’re happy that we were able to win a first trophy.”
