Nigeria may’ve won the #afcon title just twice, but when it comes to podium finishes their track is second to none in Africa.

Nine foreign coaches will be at #afcon2013 leading Angola, Mali, DRC, Niger, Zambia, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Algeria, Togo.

Nigeria and Cameroon, who’ve 6 titles btwn them, have never won #afcon with a local coach. Ghana (4 titles) always won with a local.

In 28 editions of the #afcon, indigenous African coaches have won 14 titles, same as those from outside the continent.

17 players in Nigeria’s squad will be making their AFCON debuts. That’s significant. Ghana’s team has 10 newbies.
