Khedira back in training

Real Madrid defensive midfielder, Sami Khedira returned to first team training on Sunday morning, making him eligible to feature in manager, Jose Mourinho`s starting XI ahead of Wednesday`s Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund.
´┐╝Khedira suffered a muscle injury against the Republic of Ireland while on international duty with Germany, which forced him to miss last Saturday`s 2-0 victory over Celta Vigo at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Prior to the injury, Khedira was in outstanding form, and his return to face his compatriots will give a much needed boost to a Real Madrid defense that has been ravaged by injuries.
All of Real Madrid`s players trained normally, aside from injured right-back, Alvaro Arbeloa and left-backs, Marcelo, who underwent successful foot surgery which will keep him out until March, and Fabio Coentrao, who picked up a knock while on international duty with Portugal.
Due to the injuries of Marcelo and Coentrao, defensive midfielder, Michael Essien was forced to play at left-back, to great success.
