Iniesta peeps Messi and Ronaldo to award

Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta,won the live poll, conducted by journalists from each of UEFA’s 53 member countries during the Champions League draw ceremony, to take the award that Messi won in its inaugural season last year.
The 28 year old was also named as the Player of the Tournament following Spain’s victory in Euro 2012.
“Without my team-mates at the Spanish national team and Barcelona I wouldn’t have won this individual trophy,” Iniesta said.
Iniesta has five La Liga titles, three European Cups, a World Cup and two European Championships to his credit and with that haul a rightful claim to be considered by history alongside Zidane as the greatest to come from this continent in the modern era.
In fact, Zidane heaped praise on his ÔÇÿsuccessorÔÇÖ during the tournament: ÔÇÿIniesta is really impressing me. He reminds me of myself. But he is more pale than me.ÔÇÖ An observation about Iniesta’s white complexion, which has earned him the nickname ‘Pale Knight.’
