In an interview on ‘Cadena Ser’ radio, Florentino P├®rez spoke openly about various topics related to Real Madrid. The Real President defended Jos├® Mourinho, but also Vicente del Bosque and Iker Casillas. P├®rez ambiguously spoke about J├╝rgen Klopp and revealed what would seem to be an unrealistic dream, he would love to sign Leo Messi. P├®rez also admitted to having tried to capture Neymar, but the Brazilian would have cost Real Madrid an incredible Ôé¼150 million.
– On Mourinho:
“I don’t think many have been against Mourinho. Since 2010, the squad has been the most united I’ve ever seen it.
I don’t think Real Madrid’s image has been tarnished. When he made a mistake, he said sorry. Everyone has the right to make a mistake”.
– On Neymar:
“He’s a fantastic player, but signing him would have broken the ecosystem of the club. He would have cost us Ôé¼150 million”.
– On Casillas:
“I’ve never heard anyone say that Iker is a snitch. I think many of his colleagues and journalists have tried to help Casillas and he has been hurt”.
– On Del Bosque:
“He is fondly thought of at Madrid. Del Bosque is now managing Spain, but when he leaves the post he knows this is his home”.
– On Messi:
“If I had the chance, of course I would try to sign him”.
– On Klopp:
“I like him. He’s a good manager, but the Dortmund players were more immature than the Real players”.
– On the press:
“Some areas of the press have gone too far this year. You have to tell the truth. Some people have used the microphone or pen as if it were a gun”.
