Super Eagles Coach Stephen Keshi says he was surprised by allegations that he requested for money over the transfer of Sunday Uba.
Reports in local media suggested that Keshi tried to get a percentage of the midfielderÔÇÖs transfer fee to CA Bastia.
Speaking to Super Sports.com Keshi said ÔÇ£there was no iota of truth about such reports.ÔÇØ
ÔÇ£I was shocked when I first heard I was demanding for money over the transfer of Mba. There was no truth about such reports. I never did anything yet they claimed I was demanding for half of the transfer fee,ÔÇØ he said.
When asked why he didnt proceed to the law court to clear his name the former Nigerian Captain said it wasn’t neccesary.
ÔÇ£No, no, no. It wasnÔÇÖt necessary. Truth will always come to light.
ÔÇ£I am a father to the boys). I will help them to grow.
