The Blues were dominant in the game against the Baggies with Fabregas once again putting in an impressive display. Goals from Diego Costa and Eden Hazard gave Chelsea the unassailable lead before the break as they strolled to another three points.
Although not the most outlandish scoreline, Fabregas claims that the level of football his new team played at in the first half made it incredibly enjoyable. He went as far to say that he could not remember being happier on the pitch.
He said to reporters: “I 德克萨斯扑克在线 don’t think I am exaggerating if I don’t remember playing and enjoying a football match as much as I did personally in the first half.
“We played outstanding football. It is always difficult after internationals because the team doesn’t have time to work on many things and prepare the game but I enjoyed it a lot, particularly the first 45 minutes
“Some people who didn’t watch the game will think 2-0, it was just an okay game but it was much more than that.
“It was a beautiful performance, very consistent, a clean sheet, we created plenty of chances and we had control of the game.
“That is why I think we need to be more effective in front of goal and score more goals and send an even bigger message to our opponents.”
The comments serve as a timely reminder to Arsenal fans that their former captain has moved on following a controversial summer. Arsene Wenger was given the chance to re-sign him, but turned it down. In turn, that allowed Chelsea to sign him from Barcelona and they are reaping the benefits of his outstanding playmaking ability.
Fabregas had played such a role for Arsenal before leaving in 2011 for his boyhood club Barcelona. Before that move he had assisted 53 goals for Arsenal in the Premier League. He already has ten for Chelsea this season.
Not only do they have to see a former hero flourishing at a rival club, but the Gunners are struggling immensely without a playmaker. Mesut Ozil will spend the rest of 2014 on the sidelines, but even before his knee injury the German was struggling for form.
Meanwhile Chelsea have raced to a seven-point lead atop the Premier League and are being tipped to go unbeaten just as Arsenal did in 2004.
