Ex-Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has said he fears for the future of Nigerian-born England youth international Dele Alli, who will team up with his new club Tottenham this summer after he finished a loan deal at MK Dons.
Gomes claimed Spurs have ruined players as Dele Alli makes his way to North London.
The Watford goalkeeper used Paulinho, Roberto Soldado and Eric lamella as examples of players whose career nosedived after joining Tottenham Hotspur.
The three players cost a combined total of almost £100 million, Lamela topping that list when he was purchased from Roma for £30 million back in 2013.
In a chat with ESPN, he revealed that Chelsea’s Willian turned down a move to Spurs and he is now thriving at Chelsea.
Gomes was part of the team who helped Watford return to the top flight this season and he is currently in negotiations with the Hornets over a new 12-month-deal.
