Super Eagles striker, Bright Dike is frustrated with the timing of his injury as he will not be playing any part in Nigeria’s quest to have a good showing at th World.
The 27-year old tore his Achilles tendon during a training session for Major League Soccer Side FC Toronto.
“It’s one of the worst things that has ever happened to me because of the timing, Dike told the Toronto Sun on Wednesday.
“It felt like I had a really good chance of going to the World Cup, Dike said.
“Stephen Keshi called me after hearing of the injury and said I still had plenty of soccer left to play, that’s wonderful to hear, Dike added.
