Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has praised Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, suggesting that the Chilean’s will he, won’t he move to the Etihad may well be on.
Sanchez has long-since been linked with abig-money move to the Premier League leaders, with City first having had a £60m bidfor the player turned down on deadline day last summer.
With Sanchez now into the last six months of his contract, talks over a move are thoguht to have recommenced, with the latest repors claiming that City have returned to the table with a £20m bid.
That move was somewhat forced upon Guardiola after lost forward Gabriel Jesus to an ankle problem, with the City boss having previously been content to wait it out until the summer to seal Sanchez’s signature.
Now, City star De Bruyne has heaped praise upon the Chile international, saying that he would be a welcome addition to the City side.
“If he comes, he will add something to the team,” said the 26-year-old.
“He is a very good player. Obviously we will see what happens.”
Despite the ongoing talks, Sanchez isexpected to start tonight’s Carabao Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
