CS Sfaxien Take 1st Leg Advantage in Confed Cup

Tunisian club side CS Sfaxien edged out visiting DR Congo’s TP Mazembe 2-0 in the first leg of the Orange CAF Confederation Cup final match in Rades, Tunisia on Saturday.

A first half strike by Gabonese midfielder Didier Ibrahim N’Dong after 15 minutes and a late strike in the 90th minute by substitute Yassine Khenissi separates the two sides going into the deciding match next Saturday in Lubumbashi.

The Tunisian side has won the confederation Cup on two different occasions in 2007 and 2008.

This victory gives Tunisians something to smile about after their national team failed to qualify for the 2014 Fifa World Cup.
The return leg takes place on November 30.Four Time African Champions League winners TP Mazembe need to win by  three goals if they intend to win the CAF Conferderation cup for the first time.
