CHELSEA’S transfer merry-go-round completed the full circle last night as they were linked with Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente.
The Blues lost out on signing the Spaniard in the summer as he opted for a move to Wembley over Stamford Bridge.
However, Llorente has found game time at a premium with Spurs and he could now fulfil his move to Chelsea.
The Blues have been linked with moves for Peter Crouch, Andy Carroll, Ashley Barnes, Edin Dzeko and Olivier Giroud already in this transfer window.
But as the clock to deadline days counts down, the story has taken another twist as Llorente is now considered a viable option by the Blues, according to the Sun .
Chelsea had agreed terms with Roma to sign former Manchester City forward Dzeko but the move collapsed because of personal terms.
However, there are several complications which rely on other clubs completing business before the window shuts.
So Llorente is lined up as an alternative. The 32-year-old would become available because Spurs are close to confirming the signing of Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain.
