Cesc Fabregas discusses the importance of rivals dropping points

Man City and Arsenal must drop points if Chelsea are to win the league, says new signings
Cesc fabregas has claimed that Chelsea’s 4-2 win over Swansea was even more valuable after Manchester City and Arsenal dropped points in the early kickoff.

“Obviously we wanted three points as usual, but the more we take advantage of our rivals the better,” he said.

“We know it doesn’t mean much because there is still a long way to go but we knew [before the game] Manchester City and Arsenal had dropped points so it was very important.

“What I want is to win titles, that’s what’s most important for me, it doesn’t matter who scores, who assists, who defends. The most important thing is that we are a team.”

Chelsea stayed top of the Premier League by beating Swansea at Stamford Bridge, Arsenal and City both failed to put the pressure on the Blues, managing just a 2-2 draw at the Emirates earlier in the day.
