Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla says that he has no intention of leaving the London outfit, dismissing suggestions of an exit as “paper talk”.
Cazorla, who began his career in Spain, has been linked with reigning La Liga champions Atletico Madrid.
However, speaking after Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday, Cazorla said there was no substance to reports that he was in line for a transfer.
“I’ve seen that in the papers, but nobody has told me anything personally and the only things I know are from the papers, so I don’t know anything,” he told Spanish radio station Cadena Cope.
“I’m only focused on training here and preparing well playing with Arsenal. It’s paper talk.
“I’m well, I have the confidence of everybody, the support of the fans and we hope to have a good season.”
