Napoli’s Jose Callejon has set his sights on breaking into the Spainish squad that will compete at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil later this year.
The 27-year-old has been in impressive form for Partenopei this season, helping them to third place in the standings.
He has netted 14 times in all competitions so far, which he hopes will send the right message to La Roja boss Vicente del Bosque.
“I want to score more than 20 goals,” Callejon told Sky Sport Italia.
“The World Cup? Yes, it’s a dream of mine to play there with Spain,” Real Madrid youth product added.
Napoli are gunning for second place in Serie A, currently occupied by Roma, which guarantees UEFA Champions League action, while the third spot means they would have to qualify via playoffs.
