Cagliari┬áhave reached an agreement with the local council to use the┬áStadio SantÔÇÖElia┬áagain from October, but until then play in┬áTrieste.
The Sardinians have formally registered the┬áStadio┬áNereo┬áRocco in┬áTrieste┬áas their ÔÇÿhomeÔÇÖ stadium for the 2013-14 season.
It is today reported that the club has reached a deal with the local┬áCagliaricouncil to return to the┬áStadio┬áSantÔÇÖElia┬áalmost two years after their last game here.
They abandoned the stadium in a row with the council over payment and restructuring work.
According to ANSA news agency, over the next couple of days the council will sign off on paperwork to begin the restructuring work and it should be completed by October.
Until then, Cagliari will continue to play their home matches in Trieste.
ItÔÇÖs reported the club agreed terms to pay an annual fee of Ôé¼120,000 to rent the┬áSantÔÇÖElia┬áon match days, though that could be reduced.
Last season Cagliari constructed their own stadium, the Is Arenas, which repeatedly failed security checks and was eventually torn down.
