Aymeric Laporte signs two-year contract extension at Man City

Aymeric Laporte has been rewarded for his fine form at Manchester City with a two year extension, keeping him at the club till 2025.

The 24-year-old joined from Athletic for £57m last January, and has already established himself as a crucial first-team player under Pep Guardiola

The France defender has started 34 of City’s Premier League and Champions League games this season and he came on as a substitute in the 2-1 win at Watford in December.

“I could not be happier to commit my long-term future to Manchester City,” Laporte told the club’s official website.

“Since the day I arrived here, I have been made to feel welcome by Pep and all the players.

“This Club offers me everything I need to improve my game. I’ve already made great strides and I want to continue getting better and better.”
