Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic admits he is ÔÇÿflatteredÔÇÖ by reports linking him with a summer switch to Manchester United or Arsenal, but insists he wants to stay at the Britannia Stadium and help the Potters win some silverware.
Begovic has been one of the stand-out goalkeepers in the Premier League for the last two seasons, resulting in reported interest from top four clubs.
But while the 25-year-old admits it is nice to be linked with such a high-profile move, he insists he is more than happy to remain at Stoke City.
ÔÇÿAll the speculation is flattering and nice, but I am focused on my job here,ÔÇÖ he said.
ÔÇÿAs long as Stoke want me, I am contracted. I know football is a business and we will see what happens. You never know what is around the corner, but as far as I am concerned I am planning to be here.
ÔÇÿI am happy here and I am desperate to help the club push forward. We all want to win trophies and be as successful as we can, that is the main aim.
ÔÇÿI do have ambitions to play at the highest level and test myself if the opportunity arises. I canÔÇÖt think too much ahead. I am just thinking about here. I am contracted and thereÔÇÖs nothing more I can say.ÔÇÖ
Stoke boss Tony Pulis says he will do all he can to keep hold of his number one, but the PottersÔÇÖ January move for Birmingham youngster Jack Butland hinted they are already preparing for BegovicÔÇÖs departure.
