Alexis Sanchez set to pass up January move to wait for huge Man City deal

With the calendar soon turning over to the new year, the gossip ahead of the January transfer window is heating up. Transfer Talk brings you all the latest rumours.

With PSG lurking, Man City will tempt Alexis Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez will knock back any offers to leave Arsenal in January as the Mirror claim he can pocket a massive £400,000-per-week deal to join Manchester City on a free transfer next summer.

Pep Guardiola is keen to work again with the Chile national and even pushed to bring him to the Etihad last summer, but the Gunners resisted the £60 million offer due to their inability to find a replacement.

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to rival City and even tempt Sanchez with a January offer that could prove attractive with Unai Emery’s side primed to contend for the Champions League.

But if Sanchez waits, he can expect a basic weekly wage of £325,000 per week at the Etihad, with a further £75,000 per week coming his way from image rights.

Inter target Bernard and Mkhitaryan

Inter Milan have set their sights on attacking talents

Bernard and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to add creativity to their attack spearheaded by Mauro Icardi, reports Tuttosport.

Shakhtar star Bernard, who struck a stunning goal in the victory over Manchester City in the Champions League this month, will be available on a free transfer.

After initially struggling to adapt to European football, the 25-year-old has hit nine goals and three assists while becoming a pivotal part of Paulo Fonseca’s side.

And a move for the Brazil international will be made easier due to the player possessing a Spanish passport. The former Atletico Mineiro star could be joined by Mkhitaryan after the Armenia international fell out with Jose Mourinho.

Spurs eye cut-price Lyon star

Tottenham are tracking Lyon starlet Maxwel Cornet , with the Mirror revealing that Mauricio Pochettino’s side could activate his £7m buyout clause.

The former France under-21 international has recently declared to play international football for the Ivory Coast.

The 21-year-old has contributed two goals and added four assists this term for OL under Bruno Genesio.

And his form means Spurs are likely to face competition from Borussia Dortmund, with a January move likely next month due to Cornet’s availability at such an affordable price.
