Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has hopes of returning to full training as early as next week after being sidelined for over a month with a hamstring injury.
The Argentina international sustained the blow during City’s 5-1 victory over Tottenham in mid-January, although he could now be eligible for selection for the Capital One Cup final against Sunderland on March 2.
Regarding his injury, Aguero posted on his official Twitter account, “Feeling very good about my last week of recovery work. If I keep it up next week I’ll train with the team!”
Aguero is, however, set to miss City’s Premier League clash with Stoke this Saturday as they look to keep pace at the top of the standings.
