Nigerian born Dominic Solanke was part of four Nigerian born players that stared for ┬áChelsea’s Under-18 team in their 6-0 win over Reading at the weekend.
Solanke fresh for his treble against Dartford in the FA Youth Cup third round last week recorded his second consecutive hat-trick┬áto increase his goal tally to 13 this season.
Born 0n 14 September 1997,the youngster with Nigerian roots is already a youth international for England at Under-17 level.He is still eligible for the Super Eagles.
Other Nigerian born players also featured for Chelsea in that game. Ola Aina,Chike Kandi and Fikayo Tomori were all in action against Reading .
Chike Kandi: Born on 6 October 1995 in Hammersmith, Chike came to Chelsea as a schoolboy after leaving Birmingham in 2011/12. Now full-time, he is a right-footed striker and a Wales schoolboy international. Chike has already expressed his desire to star for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Ola Aina: 17-year old Temitayo Olufisayo Olaoluwa Aina, made his Under-18 debut as an Under-16 in November 2012.The defender has been capped by England at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 levels.He is still eligible for Nigeria
Fikayo Tomori: Fikayo made his Under-18 debut as an Under-16 in August 2013.Fikayo has no international representation to date. He is eligible to play for England, Nigeria, and Canada.
