At the Al Bayt Stadium on Wednesday afternoon, the World Cup match between Morocco and Croatia came to a dismal draw.
Croatia was in terrific shape going into the competition after winning their qualification group. They had won their last five games, going six games without a loss in all competitions (D1).
After being ousted in the group rounds of the 2018 World Cup, Morocco is participating in their sixth World Cup, their second straight.

There weren’t many differences between the teams because there were only two shots on goal for each team throughout the game.
With the exception of Vlasic, who forced Bounou into a good save, Croatia’s Perisic, Modric, and Vlasic all squandered first-half opportunities.
After the half, Livakovic repelled Hakimi’s powerful long-range drive before blocking Mazraoui’s diving header.
A goalless tie between Morocco and Croatia was the third 0-0 result in this year’s World Cup, as no African nation has yet scored in the tournament in Qatar.

As Group F gets started, Morocco and Croatia both have just one point. Both of the upcoming games, between Croatia and Canada and Morocco and Belgium, will take place on Sunday.
