In their Premier League match against West Ham on Saturday afternoon, Chelsea overcame a late scare and won 2-1 despite falling behind.

Ben Chilwell and Kai Havertz were instrumental in helping Chelsea defeat West Ham as they both grabbed a goal while Chilwell also provided assist.

Ben Chillwell had the most impact as the Blues defeated their London rivals West Ham 2-1, but Kai Havertz, who was brought on as a substitute, was crucial in securing the decisive victory at Stamford Bridge.

Thomas Tuchel’s team was openly made fun of as they exited the pitch following a disastrous first half in which the Blues only managed to muster one chance on goal.

Before Antonio scored during a goalmouth scramble in the Chelsea box just 17 minutes into the second half of the contest.

Ben Chilwell’s miraculous play to equalize the score with 15 minutes remaining was followed by Havertz’s timely interception inside the box and conversion of the defender’s cross to give the Blues the lead late in the game.

Despite still having opportunity to produce a fantastic goal for West Ham, Maxwel Cornet’s effort was later overturned by VAR for a challenge on Mendy during the buildup.

Chelsea eventually managed to bounce back from their loss to Southampton on Tuesday, moving up to fifth place with 10 points, while West Ham is firmly entrenched in the relegation zone with just four points.

Ben Chillwell, the game’s MVP, Kai Havertz, and Mason Mount all took to their various social media accounts shortly after the game to share their happiness at the victory.

Let’s goooo! That one felt good.” – Chillwell wrote

It ain’t over ‘till it’s over.” – Mason Mount said.

Needed that.” – Havertz added.
