Joan Laporta, president of Barcelona, recently discussed Robert Lewandowski, who the Spanish giants are seeking as their top transfer target in light of persistent speculations over the Bayern Munich forward’s future.

Although Lewandowski has received offers from Barcelona, it doesn’t appear that they are making any headway with Bayern.

Robert Lewandowski’s future is far from certain, and he is doing everything in his power to force his way out of Bavaria and sign with Barcelona this summer.

The 33-year-old hasn’t held back in declaring his desire to leave the Bundesliga champions during the current transfer window, despite the club’s intentions to keep him or sell him on their own terms.

Lewandowski may decide to skip preseason in an effort to force a transfer as the next development in the story, according to the most recent speculations.

Football411 gathered that when the preseason begins on July 12, Lewandowski has no plans to report for training.

Providing an update on the prospect of Robert Lewandowski’s probable departure from Bayern Munich, the president of Barça stated that the club is charmed by his desire to join them.

Lewandowski is a Bayern player and I prefer to keep reserved on this matter. I have respect for Bayern and I would not talk about another club’s player. We thank him for wanting to come to Barça and we are very flattered. But we have all the respect for Bayern Munich, which is one of the best clubs in the world.” – he said.
