Terem Moffi scored his fifth Ligue 1 goal of the season on Sunday, but it was only a consolation for Lorient, who were thrashed 5-1 by league leaders PSG.
PSG secured a 5-1 win against Lorient in their first game following the international break, bouncing back from their loss to Monaco, thanks to Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar’s goals.
The focus was on Mbappe, but Neymar’s two goals were crucial in sealing the victory and all three points at Parc des Princes.
The Brazilian netted the opener, and Mbappe’s spectacular strike put Pochettino’s side up 2-0 at the break.
Lorient only succeeded in getting a goal back after a better effort at the start of the second half.
The visitors’ goal came from Moffi, a 22-year-old Nigerian forward, although it was only a consolation goal after goals from Mbappe, Messi, and Neymar.
An awful pass from Hakimi saw Moffi pounce on loose ball before prodding the ball into the net, that’s been the problem for PSG all season too many individual errors at the back and that’s hurt them.

PSG now leads the table by 12 points, and Pochettino’s side will have the opportunity to expand their lead next weekend when they go to Clermont, while Lorient will play Saint-Etienne at home.
Only 7 goals have been scored by the Nigerian attacker – Moffi ( Ligue 1, Friendlies). He also has three assists to his name this season, has played 4183 minutes, and appeared in 27 games for Lorient.
