Leonard Ugochukwu’s first half goal saw the home side put an end to Rivers United 12 matches unbeaten run at the Akure township stadium.

However, they were unable to make an effect as the referee blew the final whistle, ensuring the home team’s victory and all three points.

Recall that the last time Plateau United went on 11 Matches unbeaten run this season and played against Sunshine of Akure at home, the Akure Gunners put an end to it
