Not to sound like a broken record but football411 can confirm that Paul Onuachu has scored another goal in Belgium, this time, a wonderful milestone.
Onuachu’s latest strike came against Royal Antwerp in their first match in the Jupiler league playoffs, a 5-goal thriller at the BosuilStadion on Friday evening for his 30th of the season.
With his club Genk 2-1 down and facing defeat, Onuachu latched on to a wonderful pass from Theo Bongonda, keeping his cool to calmly beat his marker before putting the ball past the goalkeeper for the equaliser with 17 minutes to play.
Man of the match, Bongonda sealed all three points thereafter when he scored the winner two minutes from time to give Genk a come from behind 2-3.
For our giant striker, Onuachu, the goal took his tally to an incredible 30 in the league this season, making him the first player to score that many in the league since Wesley Sonck in 2002.
The 26-year-old is living the dream and hopefully, it doesn’t come to an end anytime soon as.
One last thing, our giant striker has now scored more goals in the Jupiler than any other player this century. Good luck beating that.
